Heh. Good thing I'm doing this for myself then.
Blaster LP baked. Not textured. Will get to it sometime in the future.
And HP for the Machinegun. That gun is very strange and the low poly mesh is made with of warping, which I guess was intentionally made for the quite aggressive FOV.
But yeh, took some design freedom, there is no cocking lever or any ammo clip. So yeh, sci fi guns are sci fi.

This stuffs what’s keeping me going Moh. Love it. You’ve got the exact bang on eye for taking the old and making it modern while still keeping the old visual flair. Love it.

The forum won't close down while Moh keeps sending candy like that. You can take that to the bank, i'll buy that for a dollar.....

Here's the shotgun very-much-wip. Yet another quite blocky gun haha.

I can't see any indication of any sort of sight on this shotgun. Am I missing it?
I might give it a try with a ironsight, but if it looks off I'll remove it.

Hey, thanks to me being bored at work, I got more time to do this.
Yet another wip update.

I love it. I always saw this weapon as more of a cross between a shotgun and a FAMAS myself, which you seem to be following here.
The only thing I’m not liking is the stock, it looks stumpy, more so than the original? Maybe that’s my imagination?
Posted: Fri Jun 28, 2019 9:48 pm
Not sure what you mean with the stock being stumpy though, I haven't even made it yet
Any ideas on what I can add on the side near the camera? Looks a bit dull at the moment.

This is the generations arena one, maybe take some ideas from it?

Pretty much done here as well, might add a few minor bits and details when I start baking this.

Love it, love it, love it
Great job man!

Glauncher. Sight is a test, it would be static anyway.

Why have you never done weapons before? These are spot on?

I've never done weapons before?
Well I did this... 11 years ago
(and a lot of things after that).

Nice work, as per. I also noticed this over on moddb: https://www.moddb.com/mods/quake2-remodel
- not too bad actually.

Yeah I saw that, but I’m not a fan of it, as they seem to essentially be take the models that is software made and smooth them out, with proper uv maps and textures. But the textures don’t seem to be that great, to my eye anyway, and the models seem a little too close to the old ones. Which sounds strange to say because that’s what you usually want... but for this sort of thing, what Moh has done is much more in line with how they would look with modern design and tech.
Moh, brilliant, love it, and you’re pumping these out crazy fast as well

Time for the rocket launcher. Saw the quake champion versions, looks great but a bit crazy for my taste and they made a totally different loading animation.
So here is the start of my take on this. Quite simple shape, very simple texture, not much info = quite difficult to redesign.

and some interior detailing of the launching chamber, that won't be seen, but is fun to just redesign.

Nice stuff! I need to start working on mines, Gav, any ways to add the models and textures to Q2 RTX?.
